Located in Hudson, NY, Little Sister is a contemporary Pilates studio that blends traditional principles with modern techniques and equipment.

Our studio is bright and welcoming with new Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers and Pilates Springboardsâ„¢. We work with all levels and offer group classes and private instruction. Detailed class descriptions and booking below.

  • Group Reformer

    A dynamic workout designed to strengthen, tone, and elongate the muscles. Participants will focus on control, alignment, and breath. Through consistent practice, expect to feel stronger , more balanced, and improve posture. Class is suitable for all levels as spring settings can be adjusted to meet individual needs. If new to Pilates, an intro lesson or series is necessary in order to join a group class.

    Class capacity: 3 people

  • Jumpboard circuit

    Integrate a cardio routine into your Pilates practice. The jumpboard is a platform that attaches to the Reformer, simulating jumping but without the stress on the body. Perform aerobic, low impact exercise that will challenge your endurance, coordination, and strength. Students will perform jumping intervals with additional reformer and mat exercises for a full body workout. If class exceeds 3 participants, springboards will be used in addition to create a circuit flow between the two apparatuses.

    Class capacity: 4 people

  • Virtual Mat

    A low-impact, full body workout focuses on strengthening and toning while also improving flexibility and balance. Class offers a mix of Pilates mat exercises and functional training that will support every life, help heal injury and enhance overall physical and mental well-being. Using your own body weight as resistance, participants will also need their own props including: mat, foam roller, magic circle, resistance bands, and 2-3lb hand weights. Class is suitable for all levels with some Pilates experience recommended.

  • private instruction

    One-on-one instruction for a solo student or two participants at about the same experience evel. These classes are more personalized compared to group classes, allowing for individualized attention and tailored exercises to meet specific needs and goals. These classes are ideal for those looking for focused guidance and support in their Pilates practice.

  • Springboard

    The Springboard is a wall-mounted apparatus with a set of springs and attachments that allow for a wide range of resistance based exercises to be performed. Expect a full body workout that adds diversity to any Pilates practice.

Owner and Instructor Rachael Rose Kelly has been practicing since 2011. She completed her certification at the Pilates Sports Center, a comprehensive course in all apparatus and mat. Rachael is trained in the classical repertoire of Joseph Pilates that includes a contemporary approach incorporating modern knowledge and principles.

Throughout Rachael’s Pilates journey, movement became a way of navigating life’s challenges as well as life’s joy. She hopes to share that sentiment— that strong and cared for bodies make way for peace and well being—with her students.
